This is a non-equity, volunteer community theater production. There is no pay.
Auditions All auditions are open call. No appointment necessary. Tuesday, June 4th, 7-10 pm Wednesday, June 5th, 7-10 pm
Callbacks by invitation Thursday, June 6th, 7-10 pm
For auditions, please bring your headshot, resume, and sheet music for provided accompanist. You will need to sing a 16-32 bar cut of a musical song in the style of the show.
If you are unable to attend auditions, please send a video submission along with your headshot and resume to charliehmassey519@gmail.com. You will receive the audition form with the rehearsal calendar in return. Submissions and audition forms will be accepted until June 5th by 11:59 pm.
Rehearsals begin Monday, June 10th, and will take place Monday-Thursday evenings and Saturdays. Not everyone will be called to every rehearsal. Availability is required for tech week, July 13th-18th.
We are not accepting performers under the age of 18 for this production.
Synopsis & Character Breakdown Based on Louisa May Alcott's life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested – her friend, Professor Bhaer, tells her that she has to do better and write more from herself. Begrudgingly taking this advice, Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America.
